Mission Statement

This EMWRaP.org page is still in triage…please be patient!

Sharing experiences. Enabling empathy. Introducing the people of the ER.

Perspectives on life and death in the ER.

A collection of human experiences from the frontline.

We are a community. We are the safety net, open to everyone in their time of need. We guard the entrance to the House of Medicine. We thrive in chaos. We act with certainty. We grieve in silence. We strive for excellence. Welcome to the ER.

A forum

The stories we share echo through the trauma bays, ambulances, and memories across the nation. We are strong, vibrant, united: people, patients, friends of the ER.

Anonymity & HIPAA-compliance

All of the writing shared here is reviewed by a panel of editors to ensure all identifying information (names, dates, locations, slogans, identifiable events) are changed to protect author and patient privacy. Our algorithms assign randomized names and dates to provide an extra layer of protection. All locations are changed to locations within a fictional hospital and community imagined for the EMWRaP.org community.
